Doric Chiton and Himation with Kouros Wreath
A Chiton is an article of clothing that was worn by young men (Kouros) in ancient Greece. It is usually accessorized with a wrap or mantle called a Himation that can be draped over the arms. Since the wearer was in a particularly festive mood, we decided to add a Kouros or Victory wreath to top off the look.
An interesting detail is that classical Greek costume styles share the same terms as their architectural orders: Doric, Ionic and Corinthian. Hence this style is of Chiton is of the Doric order. Simple, just like the column it's named after. Please visit my Facebook page to read Dre's nice review. Thanks Dre!
